September 13

Is the day Daws was born 6 years ago! Sometimes it seems like I have been a mom forever and other days I still feel like I am just a kid myself!
Well, since his birthday was on Sunday, we had his "birthday party" the day before (which i will post some pics later). Now I am going to post some pics from today, his actual birthday!
If you are wondering why there are no pictures of him opening his presents it is because he got up at 4am to open them! I was so out of it when he came to my room to ask me if he could open his presents now I told him "just a second, i will get up and come out in a bit." Well, when I looked over and saw the clock I realized that it was 4:08 I thought to myself YEAH RIGHT and rolled back over to go back to sleep. When he came back a few minutes later I told him "hey, it isn't morning yet so don't open your gifts yet" he said "ummm mom I already did!" geesh he is fast!
Anyways, he got his church clothes on and went back to bed..... then it took me almost 20 minutes to get him woken up to go to church! we were very late to say the least!

He has been wanting this remote control motorbike for awhile now and he finally got it. So you know he was out of the car door and in the drive way giving it a go!

We then packed up a little picnic and headed over to Tauphus park and had ourselves a little picnic and some fun times. (Cole insisted that Mia ride with him)

And then of course Dawson needed a turn as well.

We ate lunch with Alvin and even shared our bread with him.

Mia and Lane had some quality time together why I ran around the playground snapping shots of the boys.

Not sure what is going on here... maybe just a little photo shoot.

Hello Hello Hello hello

Right back at ya!

Swinging little monkey

Two swinging little monkeys. Look at Cole's face... he wasn't too interested in making it across.

A little self portrait! I look like I am suffering from allergies!

Ready Set Go... Dawson's butt hurt after this one!

We took the remote controls over to the baseball field cuz we soon realized that the ENTIRE playground was BEGGING to try it and I wasn't too interested in having it break the first day of playing with it... call me selfish!

Lane gave it a go.... Daws had to beg it back!

Coley liked seeing how far away he could get his to go from him.

Daws is an awesome older brother! He is a pretty sensitive little guy and notices other peoples feelings. He also likes to feel out the waters before he jumps in. He started Kindergarten this year and so far has just loved it. He loves to learn and he loves to please people. He also loves and insists on being the boss to his younger brother and most the time, Cole lets him. He is in that stage where you can't talk about something around him that you don't want him to hear cuz he is ALWAYS listening! I also realized I can't spell out things anymore cuz he sounds it out and figures it out! (even my swear words!)
He adores his baby sister and loves making her smile/giggle! He also loves sneaking up on me and scaring me...gives him such a thrill!
Anyways, we love having him in our family and are so proud of the little man he is becoming!

The Little Lady

My goodness it blows me away how FAST time flies when you are trying your darndest to enjoy every minute of these tiny little people! I am seriously blown away that in a less than 2 weeks Little Miss is going to be 6 months old! What the?! Where did time go? Is it just me or does it seem like the more kids you have the less you get to really savor them when they are little??
Well, here are some pics of the little lady.....
hmmmm. so my other little disc thing isn't cooperating so i am unable to get any more recent photo's off of it. these pics are from our other (older) card. as soon as my really smart husband comes home from work i am going to have him get on that and help me figure it out so you can see more pics of our little lady! (and our trip to nyc!)
Until then.... have a GREAT weekend!

Going.... Going....

Almost gone!! How sad is that? Summer has just flown right past us! I guess it isn't officially over so we should just enjoy our last few weeks! Here are the boys being boys! I love Cole's mustache the most... looks like a little Hitler! They have been a little obsessed with these fake mustaches all summer. They have saved up a bunch of quarters and then when we are in town they both buy a few and just giggle!

The boys have been riding their bikes like CRAZY this summer! Everyday, most of the day! About a week after Daws learned how to ride his bike with no trainers He taught Cole how too so they have been just tearing up the street with all the cute/fun little neighborhood kids! Here is a pic of Cole after he biffed it on his "big" bike. The scrapes look worse in person. Anyways, after we cleaned him up he told me that his big bike was grounded from him so he was going to just have to ride his little one from now on! Uhhhh tough life being a kid I tell ya!

Ding... Dong... Guess who? That's right! Two of my besties rolled into town, and it was a surprise! How fun is that? We had a great time! We played a little Rock Band. Talked. Showed each other funny things on YouTube. Talked. Went to Craigo's pizza. Talked. Bought awesome mustaches. Talked. Shopped. Talked. Got ourselves some pedi's. Talked, and took the boys for a 4wheeler ride! Thanks ladies for making the trip up, it was just what I needed... a little lady time!

Summer in Idaho wouldn't be complete with out a little fishing! Lane has taken the boys just twice but they sure loved it both times! They brought home that nasty little thing and asked me to cook it up.... YEAH freaking right! I don't do fish... esp. baby fish! So we put it in our fish bowl til it died... sad.
Daws has absolutely loved soccor! He is actually quite good at it too! His last week game he scored 3 goals! He is not very aggressive BUT he is super competitive so he goes for it! After his first practice I asked him how it went and he told me "I like it and I will probably be a professional someday" I told him he totally should! I also asked him if he liked his coach, and he told me "Yeah, except sometimes I can't understand him." I asked why? and he told me "cuz I think he speaks Chinese" I said "really? what is his name?" and he said "Carlos." (hmmmm)
This week is his last game and I am kinda bummed! A) we will be gone and miss it. (luckily gma Fern gma Lucy and gpa Jay will be there to root him on! B) cuz I love watching little people play soccor. The little piles they get themselves into and no one dares kick it out cracks me up! It has been a fantastic summer! Hope you all had a good one too!

A week late.....

As usual I am late! I didn't want to just skim past our Independence Day with out saying that we had a great time and share a few fun pics. I was just starting to get sick so I wasn't as much fun as I normally am (hehe) but managed to have fun anyway.
I didn't take my camera (even though I just got a new one last month) but luckily Geri brought along hers.
We parked it right in the Mini Bazaar parking lot. It was a great location and the kids got the whole parking lot to themselves to just ride those bikes like crazy. They loved it! The food was good, the sun was nice and hot, and the firework show was a goody!
I love the 4th of July and I love being an American!

I gotta brag for a second

Not only is she a cute little lady...she sleeps ALL night long! I am so in love with that! Last night was an all time record of almost 12 hours straight! She has been doing it for almost 4 weeks now. (minus one night that she woke up at 4am). She loves to be held most of the day and usually naps only for short periods of time BUT if I am well rested... I don't mind!

This may bore some of you but I am HORRIBLE at writing things down in one of those baby book things so I am going to jot down a few things on here to look back on.

She is a smiley little Miss and is starting to giggle. She likes her brothers a lot (most the time) and always has a smile for them...usually ends up in a whine or a cry cuz they get about 1/2 inch from her face and she just can't handle it anymore.

She loves bath time but hates lotion time. The last week or so she has been using her hands more and loves her rings that hang from her car seat. She doesn't love riding in the car too long and lets us all know with her machine gun cry. She went swimming in Utah about 2 weeks ago (at the hotel) and seemed to enjoy it.

She spits up (throws up, more like it) a ton! I wouldn't mind it so much but it sure gets annoying changing her multiple times a day! (good thing I was prepared with lots of fun clothes) She is getting chubby little cheeks and thighs, and I love it!
(thanks to my lil sis Geri for taking her pics anytime i ask her to!)

Isn't it too soon?

For Dawson to be losing his teeth?!? He is only 5! He is just THRILLED about it! He hussled right down the street on his bike to show his buddies (neighbors)! I am kinda bummed...it means he is getting older and sometimes I wish my kids could stay small, young, and innocent forever.
He has already been up 2 times (it is 11pm) to check his pillow for some cash. Hope I don't forget!

Thirty Two!

I know.... weird huh! I still feel like I am 22! I am aware that the pic is not a glamour or a great shot. My mom taught me to keep the pics around that you don't think are good ones. Ones that you think you look old, chubby, and tired cuz when you look back in 10 years ya think, "hmmm wish I looked like that now!" Ya know what I am saying?
Here is a big fat THANK YOU to all the birthday wishes, birthday gifts, birthday calls, birthday songs (even the tone deaf ones), and birthday visits! This pic is me tonight at 10pm sitting at the new little patio furniture my parents gave me. It is perfect for the space! So if you pass by and see 2 little boys eating their scrambled eggs or hot dogs out here be sure to honk! Lane and the boys gave me a new Nikon! I am very excited to get to know it better and start taking more pics! (better ones than the one shown above)
Little story.... On Sunday evening I asked my 3 year old
"what are you going to get me for my birthday?"
He says, "Nothing mom, we already got you a camera!"
I said "oh you did?!" then looked at Lane
Lane then says, "Coley, remember we weren't suppose to tell!"
Cole then looks all concerned and says to me "Oh Yeah! Mom, don't tell anybody ok!?"

IT was a Fun, relaxing (i totally slept in til 10am!), nice, rainy (i loooove the rain) June 9th!
(ps.... look how long my hair is! this is a first for me)

Oh Boy!

Do I ever feel soooo behind in blogging and keeping up this little part of my life! I sorta feel the same way about being so far behind on this as I do my journal writing or my dvr shows! Like I am just not quite sure where to begin!
Speaking of journals, my sister Bobbi was helping my mom clean and go through YEARS of stuff in my mom's cupboards, closets, ect. and she said she stumbled upon one of my old journals. She read me a few things from it and I have to say... I remember being a bit boy crazy back in my grade school days BUT I didn't remember being so silly and dumb! I was almost a smidge embarrassed that my mom and her were probably getting a big ol' chuckle out of my "deep thoughts and feelings" from long ago.
Well, luckily for me (and those around me) I have grown up and matured quite nicely. It seems like since I have had my little lady I have to just sit and wrap my mind around being a mother of 3! It actually hasn't been as overwhelming or crazy as I had expected but I just can't believe that I (me) have gone through labor 3 times! Have had years of tired mornings! Answer to the name Mom, mommy, (and other strange names at times)! I am grateful and even though I look forward to bedtime everyday.... I wouldn't change a thing!
I need to post Dawson's graduation, the boys riding their bikes (every day for 3 to 4 hours), Mia (she is changing every single day), our trip to Utah, and everything else we have been up to..... here are a few random pictures.

she is such a smiley little lady now. (ps. got her little outfit at a yard sale for 2bucks!)

Almost ready for church..... I am sure this is right about the time they head to the car and honk for me!

Lane taught them this fun game.....

one more blow and poof...the thing goes flying!

he can't stop giggling long enough to get his on

My Mothers' Day gift the boys made me from Lowe's kids clinic.

These guys could seriously kiss her and stare at her all day!

a little side note...
the other day we were at my brother and sister in laws house and dawson says to my niece Zoey "i think mia is sooo cute, even cuter than when she was born in the hospital! don't you think so too zo?" then zoey says, "yeah she is, (then turns to me and says) and so are you audrey! you are so much cuter now than you were in the hospital when you had mia!"
i love how innocently honest little people are!
