Lisa & Todd

So for all of you that know Lisa and Todd you know how special this day is!! They have been waiting for this day to come true and it finally has! It was such a beautiful ceremony and what a happy/beautiful couple they are!
I am sorry for the picture overload but Leann took so many good ones today (150) that I couldn't chose just a few!
Daws has always been Lisa's biggest fan so he was acting kinda weird and unfriendly for the first part of the day. I think he was unsure what was going to happen if Todd was the man in her life and not him! Well he snapped out of it and would FINALLY get some pictures taken with her! He thinks Todd is super cool so he totally approves of Lisa's choice.
We were glad we could come down and be apart of your special day and hope you love your new life together!!

A List......

A few reasons I love living in Idaho....

-when I paid my babysitter (she is 12 and brings her little 8 year old sister that the boys LOVE) she gave half of the money back to me and said "you pay us way too much". (what the... are busy tomorrow?!?!)

-Most of the people here are good, simple, and happy people. Not that other places we have lived didn't have people like this, just seems like MOST the people here are that way. Don't need all the extra stuff to be happy.

-It is fun/nice to live so close to my family. (even though we miss Lane's side a lot!)

- The open spaces! It will be so nice/weird to have a whole acre of land to take care of! (I know you Idahoans are thinking, "an acre, you silly city slickers! we live on 8 acres!) Coming from our 1/4 acre (if that) this is HUGE to us!

-Lane loves his job! After experiencing the time in our lives where he HATED his job we have realized how important it is to the whole family to enjoy what you do... cuz the emotions follow you home!

-As a kid I use to LOVE going swimming at Green Canyon and now my kids get to go there and they love it too! (we need to go more cuz we haven't gone in awhile. The boys even jump off the diving board!)

-I have been doing a LOAD of hair lately so it is fun to meet new friends/clients and old ones too!

-We have been able to build our own house and it has been a fun/exciting process! People say that if you can build a house together and stay together that is a good sign. I promise I am not just saying this but I seriously can't think of one thing Lane and I have argued about this whole time! (meaning the house... not daily life and other topics! If I am being honest)

-We get fresh potatoes!! Not the mini ones ya buy at the grocery store...the good biggies ya get out of your uncles cousins cellar!

-Dawson loves his little preschool and not only does his teacher do a GREAT job it is SOOO cheap!!

-Where else do you see pet Llama's and pet Buffalo on your way home from school?? the proof
-My friends from high school and I constantly say "let's get together!" and NEVER do it! (but now that we ALL live back here we can do that cuz I am sure we eventually will!)

-You don't have to share the road with too many peeps. When we first moved here Lane hit a deer in our old Honda. (not sure why that made the list)

-We have had to be creative and think up a lot of things and activities to do inside since it has been so cold and snowy! (good attitude huh... i could have said, it is so cold the freaking snow is still covering our lawns!)

-It has been a great experience to learn so many wonderful things from my cute little Gma. She has made me want to be a better mom, a better friend, and a better person in general!
-It has been fun to work for my mom at her home decor store. (on saturdays when i am not doing hair and lane is home)

-We are going to buy a half a beef and put it in our "new" deep freezer! (sorry all you vegetarians out there.... I am pumped about that... gags me to have to buy ground beef at the grocery store for some reason)

-I like that when my house is ready to move in.... I have a decorating team that can help me decide where everything should go! hint hint Mom, Bobbi, Sylvia, Millie, Grace, Becky, Geri, and all you decree's!

-I am glad for all you friends and family that blog so that I can keep up on your lives and not feel sooo out of touch and far away!

why do you love where you live??

HE and I

one thing we miss about Utah is the SWEET Jazz tickets lane would get from work. Nothing better than free parking, a free meal, free concessions, free sody's, and kick butt seats!

OK I got hit with this one a few months back and am going to get it done so I stop thinking about it.........(sorry Annie it has taken me FOR EV ER!)

-What is his name? Lane
-How long have you been married? It will be 6 years in August
-Who long did you date? We dated 4 months and then were engaged 4 months

-How old is he? 29. Yes, I am a whole year and 3 months older than he is

-Who eats more sweets? Depends on what it is. Lane loves food but gets bored of eating it quickly and that is something I doubt I will ever get bored of doing!

-Who said I love you first? He did, I didn't say it back (i said something real lame) and so he later tried to back track on what he said.... That is when I told him he couldn't cuz I loved him too!
-Who is taller? Him luckily! That would be REAL sad if he was shorter than 5'2"!
-Who can sing better? We both kinda suck in that department.

-Who is smarter? Hmm, well I am going to say he is (cuz I am SMART and I know he reads this)

-Who does the laundry? Me. I don't do very good on getting it folded in a timely matter but I sure toss it in and yank it out!
-Who pays the bills? I use to till I gave that task over to him. He likes it done on spread sheets and very professional (which I am not) and so I told him if he knew of a better way (than just calling the bank occasionally to see how much we had) than he ought to give it a go. I must say he is VERY good at it and I should learn how to use his program he created for it.

-Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? right now he does. We have moved so much that it changes from place to place.... I am always by the door.

-Who mows the lawn? He does but only cuz we got a cool new riding lawnmower from my dad! Actually he did the mowing at our Utah house too. I am a good watcher though!
-Who cooks dinner? Me, unless we are having take out.... we have so many options here ya know.

-Who drives? I RARELY do and NEVER on road trips. He thinks I am a horrible driver. I really am not... I don't know what it is but I am a worse driver when he is in the car with me while driving. For some reason that is when I seem to have the most close calls!

-Who is more stubborn? Hmmmm depends but over all probably me.
-Who kissed who first? I knew he wanted to, I just helped him out a little (his sister told me that it took him over 6 months to kiss his last girlfriend... I did NOT have the time to wait to see if it was going to make or break us!)

-Who asked who out first? I sorta did. I told him I was going to be down in Provo (i lived in slc) and so if he wanted to go to dinner we could) I totally changed my plans so I could be so I sorta tricked him I guess.
-Who proposed? He did, on the roof of the Conference Center in Salt Lake City. I wasn't sure which ring he got me (we looked at a few) and so I kept trying to take a little peek to see if it was the one I TRULY wanted.... and it was!

-Who wears the pants? ummmm probably Dawson (our 4 year old)
OK ~ I tag Cassie, Bobbi, Geri, Becky, and Luly!!

Lane got it this time...

Toby and Becky got us this time... but since I have done this one before I decided to turn the time (or post) over to Lane entirely..... Most of the answers are from him.... might be a few that I added for him....ENJOY! this is his favorite pic of him and the boys... he thinks they look so young and sweet!

What was he doing 10 years ago?

He was on his mission in Tokyo, Japan.
He got there in January and so that pretty much sums up his entire year.....
He was proselyting
with his "lurpy 6ft. 4in. white companion.

5 things on his to do list:

1-finish doing our hardwood floor in our house.
2-finish working on our budget
3-figure out how to get me to keep with in the budget
4-set up a few more appts. for his next business trip.
5-take me on a date!

His favorite snacks:

-nuts (mostly sunflower seeds, pine nuts, pistachios, cashews, peanuts, and almonds)
-soda soda soda....
-he loves the grandma cookies (with pink frosting AND a 3,000 calories!)

3 bad habits:

1-not having any bad habits
2-not being humble about not having any bad habits
3-reminding my wife of the fact that I don't have any bad habits as I am pointing out hers!

What would he do if he became a billionaire?

-HIRE someone to install our wood floors and tile!!
-Buy myself a NICE watch

-Invest it
-Finish our basement
-Buy us another car
-Pay my tithing....of course first
-Pretend I was poor so "friends" wouldn't come out of the wood works begging
-Help my family out wherever needed
-Travel with my family
-Go to Japan to see my parents on their mission

Some things you don't know about him:

-That he SERIOUSLY doesn't think he has any bad habits.
-That he is really a billionaire.....(uhhh yeah right)
-That he is NOT always as good looking and charming as he may appear.
-That he use to work in the women's shoe department at Dillard's.
-That he is the baby of his family of 5 kids.
-He is seriously a GREAT artist!

Ok that wasn't as painful as I thought to get out of him....although, I think I hear him snoozing right now and I am NOT even joking!!
I guess I will have to ask him who he would like to tag tomorrow..... goodnight.
