Gratitude

I am posting these pictures of my boys because I LOVE having two boys together! It isn't cuz they never fight, or yell at each other, or hit each other, or tell on each other, or drive each other crazy cuz they definitely do that. It is cuz there are these little moments in the day that they hug each other, or laugh at each other, or look out for each other, or defend one another, or light up when they see each other. That is the reason I am grateful for these two little fella's. I am also grateful for my husband for being such a big part of "our family's" daily lives. No matter how hard I try I would never be able to wrestle like he does, or sword fight like he does, or make blanket forts like he does, or draw cool dinosaurs like he does! I am happy that we are where we are and the direction we are headed. Just a little thanks to my 3 amigo's!just woke up and waiting for breakfast

My Stripling Warriors

So the other night (a week and a day ago) we decided to
teach the boys about the Stripling Warriors. Lane is such a good dad/teacher! He stopped on his way home and snagged a few crowns from Burger King and cut out of cardboard swords and shields and foiled them for our lesson and activity. The boys LOVE "family home leaving" (in dawsons words) I have shared some of their action shots...... Yesterday was my week..... we had a short lesson and went and got swirl cones! I will do better next time I promise!

2 kids fell in love........

I know most of you all know my baby sis is getting married to the COOLEST guy I know! (except MY husband of course!) What a handsome couple they are......
His name is Jason and he is from Rexburg Idaho. His family has been friends of my family for years... I mean YEARS! Strangely enough Geri and he had never met until after he came home off his mission. They met the first part of July and were on the fast track to love!
She says that she has never met anyone that makes her laugh so much. (which i think is soo important) He fits in with the fam like a champ and calls me A-Dog. (which is better than A-hog I guess) They are very in love and will be getting married December 27th for time and all eternity. Let's hear it for J-Dawg and Ger-bear!

BORING

hmmm lets see. Where do I begin or what is worthy enough to share? This is why I think I have a hard time keeping a journal. I go in spurts... I write write write and then nothing for a long time, so then I don't know where to pick up.
Well, on Thursday I went to the allergist and got poked and pricked a zillion times! Ok, maybe only 88 times but it seems more like a million! So out of 88 tests I am allergic to EVERYTHING except feathers! Nice huh....feathers? Too bad I don't work on a chicken farm or something. I guess I shouldn't complain too much cuz I am not allergic to most foods. I am to corn, peas, apples, and nutts.Others too but those are my highest ones. I eat all 4 and haven't had a reaction so I will continue to do so.
Ok this is boring... wish I had a pic of my back with all the welts on it but I don't and you probably didn't want to see my bare back anyways.
I have to go get allergy shots 2 times a week. For any of you that know know me......SCARED too death!! Needles and I are NOT pals!
Ok gotta go visit with some people that came over but I will post more about our house and our fun night of Family Home Evening! lata gata

Come Home Daddy

So I am FINALLY startting to feel like myself again..... minus the breathing treatment mask hooked to my face right now. Lane has been in New York City for the last few days and I use to just pride myself on being Miss Independant. Since I have had kids NOT the case! Maybe it is because I haven't had the energy to keep up with it all. (lets blame that)
So lately these boys have been under my legs, asking for this asking for that, draw me this, get me a drink, hold me, wipe my bum, can you come outside with us, and on and on and on. Which I do understand is normal for a 4 and a 2 year old. I guess being sick (with pnemonia) it is getting to me.
Ok now that I have complained I am going to bed so that I can get up and get ready to pick up my husband! YAY..... these boys have missed him as much as I have so they are in for a real treat tomorrow! I don't know why these two INSIST on sleeping together....someone could get hurt!

Oh yeah, Lane took the toothpaste so since he has been gone I have been using Shrek flavored toothpaste and I am starting to REALLY appreciate adult colgate!

Once there was a snowman

This is what we woke up to here in Idaho!!! (well, not the snowman....but the snow!) It snowed and snowed and snowed. Which would have been ok BUT the power went out at 10:15am this morning and came on about 6:00pm tonight! I thought we were going to have a chilly night with no heat but luckily we got the power back.

Ok so I have been telling so many people that I will share with them our building pictures and I am FINALLY doing it! Hope it all makes sense and isn't too boring. I am sure no one is going to find this as exciting as we do but it is true.... we have walls.

JUST KIDDING! HeeHee...I wish! I pass this house everytime I take Dawson to Preschool and I love it....but it isn't ours and that is ok cuz we know we are going to love ours even more! Here are the pics of the progress thus far.....

Ok so here is how one of our daily activities go......
Look mom...... more pinecones! Lets toss them in the canal on one side, then patiently wait till they come out the other side (of the bridge driveway)
waiting...waiting....waiting.... Then they cheer out of excitement both YELLING that one is MINE! NO MINE! MINE!
Then back to the trees for round 2! It never gets old!

The big 4!

Ok so this is old news by now but I thought I better post D-dogs birthday pics since he is soooooooo pumped to be
4 years old now! He tells everyone "I am 4 years old now!" He even got into a little argument with some of the kids in his primary class today about it.
We are the new kids on the block here and so they didn't know when his birthday was so today when he told them "I am 4 years old now!" They told him he wasn't. Boy was he annoyed! Anyways, we went to Leo's Place with his local cousins and Gma and Gpa Simmons and Gma Fern! Fun was had by all!
