Well Hello There

Were you all wondering what the heck happened to me? Well, I am not sure what happened actually. It doesn't surprise me though cuz I am the same way with writing in my own personal journal! If I have let it go too long I get overwhelmed in trying to catch up (i am a detailed person) My mom always has to tell me to speed up my story or she is done listening. Rude I know but I think she is right when she says that it takes me a full two hours to tell a story that took two hours to actually happen. (my poor husband I know)

So I have come up with a plan here. I am going to catch up by months. That way I can drop a few pics (cuz blogs are more fun with them) and try real hard to remember something from way back when......

Well, it is hard to believe that after having our 4th child I lost 50 lbs and adopted twins. Lane also got his PHD at Harvard University and we are just enjoying life! haaa ok I haven't been gone THAT long!

Well, we finished our basement and Lane is assembling my new treadmill! YAY! I felt guilty staying upstairs where it was nice and cozy watching A.I. so I decided to come down here and join him BUT got mighty bored (no offense honey) and grabbed his new laptop! (that is another reason i haven't blogged, our old one was STRUGGLING!)

Did I mention that I have been sick the last 2 weeks? The first week it was Strep and then last week it was the freaking flu! UGHHH The weird thing is... I still feel queezy! I swear it sounds like a cell phone is on vibrate in my stomach. So annoying!

so SEPTEMBER

Daws finished up flag football. He loved it and it was fun to watch. I must say, I personally prefer to watch soccor. More action!

Waiting for their lunch....
He has been riding a big bike for about a year now with no trainers and sometimes he forgets that he is just 4 and tries to act like the "bigger" dudes on the block. Well, he crashed and burned... it was so sad!

Mia found some choco chips on the floor that Cole dumped and was pumped!

Chillin on her blanky

Chillen at the State Fair on Lanes Birthday. He hated it lots.

The boys were too little to ride the good rides. Cole wasn't impressed.
Bobbi and I went to my friend's shoe party that lives around the corner. The older 2 babysat the younger 3. We were nervous but they had a blast! Notice the guy in the suit coat... his name is Myles and when Bobbi went to pick him up at his house to come play with Carter he ran to the back (he had on hoop shorts and a t shirt) and came back with his suit and tie on! He said he just felt like looking sharp. HA!
Alright, well that's a wrap for September... stay tuned for October.

The Big Apple

I am going to be honest with ya..... I freaking LOVE NYC! There I've said it! Lane goes to there for work once or twice a year and so I decided to join him on one of his trips this year. I loved almost every second of it! (not the times when my feet hurt so bad from walking 8 miles and not the time when I ate lunch about 2 ft away from the Naked Cowboy by myself... I felt like a perv! or not the time when... oh wait, i am not going to tell you about THAT time!) We didn't take as many pics as we should have. I think you are moving so fast and there are so many things to see and so many people that you get back to your hotel room and think, hmm we didn't take any pics today did we?! Well, I plan to go again and will take more pics then! There is still so much on my list that I didn't get to do or see! We left all 3 of our kids with my family (thanks a billion guys) and went solo. I have to say I was stressing out a bit about leaving my 5 month old. I was feeling guilty and pretty sad til we hit the East Coast and I thought to myself... "holy crap! I can't imagine trying to get around this city with a baby strapped to me!" I was sweating bullets as it was! The humidity is a killer when you aren't use to it! The night before we were coming home I called my mom to check on the kids. She asked if we were ready to come home (thinking I would for sure say YES I miss my little baby)but instead I said "man I wish we just had one more full day here!" We did miss the kids BUT we had a FANTASTIC time!

alright... sorry the pics aren't in any good order BUT this post has already taken me ummm over a month!

Lane enjoying the most delicious dessert chocolate dessert in the whole world! It was worth the $12 bucks per plate!

Me pumped to be there.... This was my first time, Lane has been there a few times and knew I would dig it!

So I thought the menu was so cool! Loved the story behind the inspiration of his restaurant.

It was midnight when we got seated to have dessert! This place was bumpen! It was like a normal Charlie and the Chocolate Factory type a place!

At the Met's game. They won! Here is Lane and our New York friends.... Marty and Sheila (said with a NY accent of course!)

So we saw this creepyish Santa Claus while we were at Central Park... Wish you could see him from the front!

Our hotel was 2 blocks from Grand Central Station that I swear we were there ALL the time!

Had to take a Subway shot since we got very familiar with it! I was sweating bullets down there! The lower ya get the hotter and hotter it gets! I swear I would be so skinny if I lived there! (hmm there's an idea?!)

I just loved this cool looking door. It was in Little Italy. The place we at the best pizza of my entire life! John's Pizzeria...to die for! (Lane wasn't as passionate about it as I was. He prefers Chicago style.) Not me, I like to bend it in half like the locals!

Lady Liberty from the Staten Island Ferry ride.

We were total tourists and took the bus tour.... LOVED IT!

On our way to Magnolia's (for the 2nd time) we stopped off at the Today show. It is a lot more fun to watch it now that I have been there!

Lane at the Yankee's game. This was his highlight for sure! (even though he is not a Yank fan) He got hooked up with the Legacy Suites tickets! Dinner, snacks, beverages, and awesome seats!

We got the boys these huge syringes of chocolate from Max Brenners and let me tell you, they were delish!! They were so pumped to see us (or their surprises) but either way it was good to come home to our little family!
Lane is going back in a few weeks for work and you better believe we have a list of things he needs to bring us home and 2 of them may or may not be cupcakes and choco syringes!

The Party

This year we let Daws have a real birthday party. I told him he could invite a few friends so he quickly got out a pen and paper and started writing down (with my help) names of his friends that he wanted to invite! He invited a few from his primary class and a few from his kindy his cuz that is his same age and of course, his brother! Everyone came....

William. Lincoln. Rook. Dawson. Karson. Braxton. Keegan. Cole

We were going to go somewhere like Leo's or Blast Off but thought it may just be just as fun, easier (yeah right), and cheaper to do it in the gym.
We kinda flew by the seat of our pants but ended up having a lot of fun! Lane had picked up all sorts of interesting things that ended up being some highlights! They did relay races with our Wiggle Cars. We did glow in the dark hiding seek. Kick ball. Pinata. Tied the balloons to ankles and tried to pop everyone but your own. had treats. punching balloons. more snacks. cupcakes. super fun gifts. lots of running around!

Daws LOVED all the gifts he got! Thanks so much for coming and for making it such a fun party dudes!

(ps... i love boys)

September 13

Is the day Daws was born 6 years ago! Sometimes it seems like I have been a mom forever and other days I still feel like I am just a kid myself!
Well, since his birthday was on Sunday, we had his "birthday party" the day before (which i will post some pics later). Now I am going to post some pics from today, his actual birthday!
If you are wondering why there are no pictures of him opening his presents it is because he got up at 4am to open them! I was so out of it when he came to my room to ask me if he could open his presents now I told him "just a second, i will get up and come out in a bit." Well, when I looked over and saw the clock I realized that it was 4:08 I thought to myself YEAH RIGHT and rolled back over to go back to sleep. When he came back a few minutes later I told him "hey, it isn't morning yet so don't open your gifts yet" he said "ummm mom I already did!" geesh he is fast!
Anyways, he got his church clothes on and went back to bed..... then it took me almost 20 minutes to get him woken up to go to church! we were very late to say the least!

He has been wanting this remote control motorbike for awhile now and he finally got it. So you know he was out of the car door and in the drive way giving it a go!

We then packed up a little picnic and headed over to Tauphus park and had ourselves a little picnic and some fun times. (Cole insisted that Mia ride with him)

And then of course Dawson needed a turn as well.

We ate lunch with Alvin and even shared our bread with him.

Mia and Lane had some quality time together why I ran around the playground snapping shots of the boys.

Not sure what is going on here... maybe just a little photo shoot.

Hello Hello Hello hello

Right back at ya!

Swinging little monkey

Two swinging little monkeys. Look at Cole's face... he wasn't too interested in making it across.

A little self portrait! I look like I am suffering from allergies!

Ready Set Go... Dawson's butt hurt after this one!

We took the remote controls over to the baseball field cuz we soon realized that the ENTIRE playground was BEGGING to try it and I wasn't too interested in having it break the first day of playing with it... call me selfish!

Lane gave it a go.... Daws had to beg it back!

Coley liked seeing how far away he could get his to go from him.

Daws is an awesome older brother! He is a pretty sensitive little guy and notices other peoples feelings. He also likes to feel out the waters before he jumps in. He started Kindergarten this year and so far has just loved it. He loves to learn and he loves to please people. He also loves and insists on being the boss to his younger brother and most the time, Cole lets him. He is in that stage where you can't talk about something around him that you don't want him to hear cuz he is ALWAYS listening! I also realized I can't spell out things anymore cuz he sounds it out and figures it out! (even my swear words!)
He adores his baby sister and loves making her smile/giggle! He also loves sneaking up on me and scaring me...gives him such a thrill!
Anyways, we love having him in our family and are so proud of the little man he is becoming!
