The big 4!

Ok so this is old news by now but I thought I better post D-dogs birthday pics since he is soooooooo pumped to be
4 years old now! He tells everyone "I am 4 years old now!" He even got into a little argument with some of the kids in his primary class today about it.
We are the new kids on the block here and so they didn't know when his birthday was so today when he told them "I am 4 years old now!" They told him he wasn't. Boy was he annoyed! Anyways, we went to Leo's Place with his local cousins and Gma and Gpa Simmons and Gma Fern! Fun was had by all!

Sick Sick Sick

Notice if you will that I didn't just say sick. Well the reason being is because I have not only been sick for 1 week... or 2 weeks... but 3 WEEKS! My asthma is kicking my butt here in Idy! Also not only am I sick. So are Coley monster and Lane. Which makes 3 of us! (Go Daws you little trooper!)
I have so MUCH to post so if we don't watch Grey's Anatomy, Ugly Betty, a couple Oprahs, a few Dr. Phils, Desperate Housewives, some Sports Center, and Blades of Glory, ect. (not really but kinda) Stay tuned for lots of pics and some updates!

Ok so I am taking the time to FINALLY get my tagged sitch taken care of.....

5 things I was doing 10 years ago:
hmmm lets see.... 1997.....
1- I was just graduating from beauty school in good ol' Rexburg Idaho.
2- I got my very first car to ever own....honda accord black 2006 ex
3- The missionary I was waiting for kinda disappeared on me..... hmm that was a blessing in diguise!
4- Moved to Provo Utah with my friend Megan to work at Suggestions Salon and lived at King Henry
5- I think that was the 1st year I ever went with out having a boyfriend...(i think)

5 things on my to-do list today:
too bad I don't make lists these days...
1-Take Dawson to pre-school. (done)
2- Go to our lot and talk to Jerry about some of the walls that need to be added to the framing (done)
3- Pick up Dawson from pre-school (done)
4- Clean up and fold laundry (done on Saturday) while Cole takes his nap (mostly done)
5- Make a yummy dinner that my boys will eat! (done and done!)

5 snacks I enjoy:

1- As of lately swedish fish are a fave!
2- I have always been a chip fan.
3- My gma ALWAYS has a HUGE stash of EVERY kind of m&m and I find my hand in the jar numerous times a day.
4- Is soda a snack? cuz I have to have my diet coke each and every day. (was that a confession?)
5- I like cookie dough...not to be mistaken for cookies. (although i do like those too!)

5- Build a GREAT salon with all the fixens! (like Frederic Fakkai's in Beverly Hills)

1- I am a bit of a complainer...
2- I go to bed WAY too late!
3- I shop too much
4- I spend too much time stalking peoples blogs

5 things I’d never wear again:
never say never!
1-stir up pants (i saw some a few months back and thought.....count me out this round!)
2-dream catcher earings or anything! (i never really have worn that but don't plan to in the future either)
3-layered socks. I remember the more colors going on down there the better!
4- The Utah Claw bangs...... that I swear by!
5-The torqouise puffed sleeve formal dress I wore for Junior Miss. Lane makes fun of it OFTEN!

UHO....

It looks as if I have been tagged! I promise Kim B. I will get on that asap! I have to get some shut eye cuz we are going to the Parade of Homes tomorrow to get a few ideas. Wahooo! I am sure we will be picking things out soon and I need some inpiration!
Oh yeah, and Dawson had his 4th birthday party yesterday so I will be posting about that with pictures very soon! I have been a slack master at blogging lately but hope to get back in the groove!

My little BIG man!

Here is Dawson and Rook all excited to get to their 1st day of school! What cool dudes!

So I thought it would be kinda scary for the little guy but NOPE! He went in met teacher Kellie and never even looked back to say bye to his MOM! He seemed to have a great time and with his preschool only being 8 kids. I think it was great for them to all interact and for them to get some special time with their teacher.
When I got there to pick him up he came out with a smile and his papers (which he called his homework) and handed it to me and told me "I love my school mom!"
He will be turning 4 in just over a week so he JUST misses the deadline for Kindergarten next year. I am kinda glad about that though cuz I would rather him be the old kid in class and not the youngest kid in class. (and especially not the smelly kid in class!)

Ok to explain the pictures a bit....he has been REAL proud of his angry face as of late and really wanted me to take a pic of him doing that to scare daddy. The other one where he is hunching...he was coming up from the giggling he got into from doing the scary face. And the last two pics. Well, lets just say Cole thought for SURE that he was totally going along with Dawson. He took his little Nemo backpack and filled it to the brim with toys and fell over twice with it. I unloaded the remote control car and a few other heavy items and let him wear it the whole day. When we dropped Dawson off he was so shocked that he was not staying with him. I think it was the first time he hasn't ever wanted to come with me. He finally calmed down by the time we hit Sams Club but he did insist on taking his backpack inside with him. He also put it next to Dawsons when we got home today so that he wouldn't get left out AGAIN! It was kinda sad that he was so upset but mostly ADORABLE that he wanted so badly to be as big as his cool bro!ps.... don't ya love Coley's shoe selection?

Tiger Woods.....

doesn't have anything on us! Ok maybe just millions of dollars and a good swing! We had a great time in Utah. My hub thought it would be a good idea to take the boys with us golfing. We went with my two sister in laws and one of their fiance's and us. It was a lot of fun, especially for those that got to play (and not so much for those of us who spent most the time chasing kids and in the club house!) It really was good times and maybe someday they will be able to not only carry the club but swing it!

Betty Crocker

I know some of you are wondering why on earth I am posting bread on my blog.....Well it is because it is my very first attempt at making bread and it turned out marvelous! I looove homemade bread but have always been a little nervous about giving it a go. Now I know I can do it and I am grateful to my cute little Gma for walking me through it! It is some of the tastiest whole wheat bread I have ever had....if I don't say so myself! Ok done bragging for now.

I have always like going to Yellowstone, but for some reason I remember Old Faithful being so much more AMAZING when I was a wee one. When we went there was a LOAD of people there. In some of the pics you will wonder why we look so undone.... well, our excuse is that it rained for a bit. Not the whole time but long enough to give us the uglies!
We are going to Yellowstone again next week to go to the Playmill. I LOVE doing that! We are going to Footloose with my fam. Lane is just thrilled!

Have you done any good in the world today?

Ok so today was one of those days.... the ones where you aren't as nice to your kids as you should be. You wanna yell at the lady that cut you off and looked at you as if it was your fault. You are strolling through Walmart just wanting to hurry before anyone recognizes you and wonders why you are hiding. (no make up, bad hair day, and bad mood!) So I finish up what I needed to get done before I go see my mom and sister. I pull into Wendy's to get the boys chicken nuggets, yogurt, and a drink. She tells me the price, 6bucks or something. I look into my wallet and realize that I only had 5 and NO change! aghhh....added to my dumb day. So I whip out my credit card and pull up to the first window..... and the Wendy's girl says to me... " the woman in the car infront of you has paid for your meal!" I got all teary eyed and said " I love her!" I know we hear this all the time but that lady really didn't know just how much that kind dead did for me this day! I drove away with tears in my eyes and a smile on my face. I am so going to do that cuz I know how good it feels! The world needs more women like her!

All dressed up.... and no where to go!

THIS is what I saw when I came out of the shower/bathroom this morning...... I then got dressed and said to Dawson, "get your shoes on and lets go!" he said "are we going to Hawaii?" I giggled and said "I wish!" They must have made some big plans the two of them.... since Cole was READY for the Luau!
