Bear Lake

First off a big ol' THANKS to my mom and my dad for putting this little family trip together! My mom decided that we had better start doing family reunions. We have them all the time with her side of the family and they are fun. As the families are getting bigger and bigger it is harder and harder to get us all together. So we all took some time off and headed for Bear Lake. Cassie and her family live in Ohio so it isn't easy for them to load it up and head on over! We missed them a lot and wished they could have come!

We got there and the boys were mostly excited to be OUT of the car! We played a little bit before everyone else arrived.

Then more peeps showed up and found a cool little wagon deal that Gma was so cool to give rides! I pretended to be busy so I didn't have to take a turn!

Cole took Jayce on a little tour of the area and made sure he made it back to the cabins safely!

Once more of the cousins showed up they helped themselves to a little playtime on the little swing set that the poles moved when they swung....they didn't notice though.

He had been eyeing down the sand, buckets, and shovels all day... the inner kid couldn't hold back!

Mr. build it (well more create it) man came along to help the kids build a sand castle... they are taking notes.

Here is a picture of the work in progress...

Hey Beach Babes! (notice i did not attach one of me... and if anyone that went on this trip does... you will wake up tomorrow with NO eyebrows, i promise!)

Hey Daws! Taking a little break from the water fun? Didn't last more than a minute laying there!

Back in action... sooo many shells to collect! (oh crap i need to get the little smelly baggy of them out of my trunk!

He did get up twice.... once to eat lunch and once to take my mom for a crazy jet ski ride!

Cole was going strong all day long with all his cousins.

That is a mighty big hole for 2 little fella's.... I think they were diggen for treasures aka smelly shells!

Rookie and Zoey digging their own hole and filling it with water!

Heya boys! Anyone up for some relaxing?

Cole and Rook made sure the back net was nice and secure before we loaded everything back up!

Did I mention that it was kinda chilly at times during the day at the beach? This is when we were rapping things up to head on out.

What a COOL Gma! She rode in the back of the truck to and from the beach! Even after her hair looked so nice... what a champ!

We got back, showered, had dinner and played a little baseball with everyone.

We got up early the next morning and went to church. It was a big ol ward, but I did wonder how many of them were like us and were only visiting. (oh yeah, i forgot my bag with my shampoo, conditioner, face wash, brushes, blow dryer, flat iron, etc. that is why I look like I have been at the beach instead of church.)
Here is a family shot of us in front of #9. This was a great place to stay. Every fam got their own cabin and they are all by each other!

This is Tilly. She was waiting for us on our front porch. She welcomed us immediately and followed us around the whole time. Rook loved her the most!
We then went down to Garden City for lunch. We went to Bear Lake Pizza and got the biggest pizza we had ever seen! Sorry no pics. I think Becky got one or my mom though. It was 28inches round! We got it for all of us and still had enough left over for 3 of us to take some home! It was quite tasty too!

The end.

Good post Audrey. Your pictures were great. I'm sorry if you didn't like that we got a picture of you at the beach. I have a couple more if you'd like a copy of them. I think that pictures that you don't like are kind of like a hair cut you don't like. Given enough time and you think it's a pretty dang good picture!

ok--there are a few things i'd like to say right now....
first, Tilly was a good little dog.
she even walked over to church with us.
second, i really liked your captions for your photos.
third, i really really liked the last three photos. those were some sweet shots, if i don't say so myself. (hehe)

Wow, no wonder you were pissed the pics weren't working. There were alot. They were great. I have never been to Bear Lake. Would love to go sometime, maybe next year's reunion?
You are probably sleeping, since you were up so dang late.

Cute family pic in front of the cabin! We missed out on that one, the boys didn't want to get back out of the car. We had a great time. Maybe we can do it again next year? I hope you remembered to clean out your trunk so it doesn't smell like rotten sea shells.

That makes me even more excited for my family reunion next summer. We are heading off to Disney World to visit Donovan and Janae. I can't wait! Fun pictures. Did Lane wear that outfit to church?

I love bear lake but my husband does not. I think it has to do with some girl he used to date. Maybe he will come around some day. What's not to love about that place? My favorite part of your post was when you admitted to acting busy so you didn't have to take a turn. That is something I would do. I have been meaning to post pics of my R&R. Just lazy right now but I need to do that. We went to Hawaii. I had never been. Loved it. Sorry this comment is really long.

Judd asked me why I got to go on a ride with his friends from Grandma's (pic of mom with the kids in the back of the truck.) Guess I know who's gene pool I came from. Looks like a fun time.

I am so jealous that you are so close to your fam! But you paid your dues living far away; so what more can I say then your pics made me "Idaho Sick."
By the way send me your e-mail address to holly2300@yahoo.com and I will add you to our house blog. I had some weird lady from Iowa comment on my blog and she said she had a brother that lived here in O'Neill so I decided to make our house building blog private. I know it sounds snooty of me but I don't just want anyone looking at all the house stuff as we build!

Okay, I hi-jacked your site from Jaime. I have wondered so much about you over the years. I am SOOOOOOO glad you're doing well and most of all, you still have the Audrey sense of humor I love!!!!! You're the best. Where in Idaho are you living? I still haven't found a better hair stylist than you :( I have a car and will travel! Oh, yea, I would probably have to bring my 2 kids, but you're worth it!!! Great blog, CUTE family, I am so glad you're doing well!!!!!!

That sounds like such a fun trip...and if you are like us, then having your own cabin/space made it even better! Only wish YOU had been in a couple more of the pics! By the way...I got a new haircut today and I am loving it! Jake thinks it's too short (surprise, surprise), but I think it's great!! It only would have been better if we could have chatted while I got it!

Hey! That brings back memories. But at least you all had a bed. No crowding up. Very fun.

It looks like a lot of fun! It's so sad to see the summer ending. Hopefully winter will be short!
